Wolong Panda Center Recovers from Quake

File photo taken on Jan. 4, 2010 shows two giant pandas transfered to Wolong's breeding base at the Bifeng Gorge in the city of Ya'an, southwest China's Sichuan Province, after the massive earthquake in 2008. After three years of reconstruction, Wolong Nature Reserve and China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Wolong, which were badly damaged by the quake, has recovered. Local residents were moved to valley region for better living conditions while giant pandas enjoy more territory, advanced new center are under construction and will be put into use the next year, and a series of research programs such as training of giant pandas for release to the wild are carrying on.
