Free Rides for Elderly in Shanghai

Shanghai has issued 1.25 million cards for old people to take public transport (excluding Maglev, special routes to airport, and tourism routes) for free.

Local residents aged over 70 can go to their communities to apply for the card. Starting from next month, the elderly can use their cards to take public transport during non-rush hours.
