Peace Ark Arrives in Kenya on 1st Overseas Medical Mission

Peace Ark arrived here on Wednesday. It is the first overseas medical mission for Peace Ark. The ship set sail from Zhejiang province in east China on Aug. 31, for visits to Djibouti, Kenya, Tanzania, the Seychelles and Bangladesh, and providing medical treatment for locals. Peace Ark is the first hospital ship in the world with a 10,000- ton capacity. China independently developed and built it. It has 428 soldiers, officers and medical workers aboard. [Xinhua]
