Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) and Hong Kong Press Photographers Association joined hands in presenting a photo show on Monday featuring relief and reconstruction efforts in China's quake-hit Sichuan Province.

The show, titled "Sichuan Earthquake One-year-on, we're together," will be open to public until June 18, organizers of the event told Xinhua.

"Since the disastrous quake rocked Sichuan province a year ago, Hong Kong Red Cross has been working side by side with residents of the affected areas. As the reconstruction work goes into full swing, we put on the show in a bid to facilitate better understanding among Hong Kong citizens of the progress made there," said Patricia Ling, deputy chair of the HKRC.

Ling said her organization has received a total of 1.3 billion HK dollars in donation from the Hong Kong citizens so far. With the donation, HKRC helped build 18,000 houses, over 20 schools and 200 clinics in quake-hit areas.

The organization also set up a prosthesis center in Sichuan, which has provided services for more than 500 people losing limbs in the quake.
