Thailand's Public Health Ministry on Wednesday announced 290 more patients, who are confirmed to have infected with the A/H1N1 flu virus, bringing the country's total number to 2,718.

As of Wednesday morning, 11 people died of the A/H1N1 flu virus infection, some eight people are in serious condition, the Channel7 TV quoted ministry sources as saying.

The country had its first two confirmed patients on May 12.
