Death Toll of A/H1N1 Flu in Canada Rises to 37

The death toll of A/H1N1 flu in Canada rose to 37 on Tuesday, health officials said.

The eastern province of Quebec reported one new death, bringing the provincial total to 15, the most among the provinces. But there are no details on the victim.

After Quebec, Ontario province records the second highest fatality with 12 people having died of the flu virus. Other deaths are in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta.

The total of confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu in Canada now stands at 8,883, according to the Public Health Agency of Canada.
