Indonesia Orders Visitors from A/H1N1 Infected-countries to Use Masks for 3 Days

The Indonesia government ordered all the visitors coming from A/H1N1 flu-infected countries to use masks for three days, starting from their arrival at the airport or sea ports, according to a statement on Tuesday.

Indonesia has taken the measure in an attempt to prevent new entry of the virus following the finding of 8 imported cases in the country, Indonesian Health Minister Siti Fadilah Supari said in the statement.

Four Indonesians, three Australian and one British, have been tested positive of A/H1N1 influenza flu, which they got the disease from Australia and Singapore, the Health Minister said.

The minister said that the virus has incubation period of 3 to 7 days.

She said that so far, there is no case has been found infected from the source inside of Indonesia.

The statement also said that the passengers must passed the scanner before exited from airport. Previously, many passengers ignored it.
