Thailand Reports 3 New A/H1N1 Flu Cases

Thailand announced on Tuesday the country's three new confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu patients.

Thailand has totally 13 confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu patients, according to Public Health Minister Witthaya Kaewparadai.

The 11th case was a 20-year-old Thai woman. She had stayed in the US from March this year and developed the flu-symptoms after returning to Thailand on June 6. She has been admitted to a hospital on June 7 and laboratory tests confirmed that she is infected with the A/H1N1 flu, Witthaya said.

The 12th case is another Thai woman, 20, who arrived at Thailand on June 5 after traveling in the US She has been admitted to a hospital on June 7 after developing the flu symptoms.

The 13th case involves a Thai man, 31, who developed the flu symptoms after returning from the US and Canada.

They are currently recovering and have been closely monitored by doctors. All people, who stayed close to the latest patients, have been suggested to remain home for three consecutive days, said the minister.

On May 12, the Thai Public Health Ministry announced the country's first two confirmed A/H1N1 flu cases.
