Israel Detects 3 Additional A/H1N1 Flu Cases

Israeli health authority on Thursday diagnosed three additional influenza A/H1N1 cases, according to local media.

Among the three, a 59-year-old man hospitalized in Sheba Hospital and a 34-year old man hospitalized in Meir Hospital have recently returned from the US, reported the website of local daily Yedioth Ahronoth.

A 33-year-old man who has recently returned from Panama has also been hospitalized at Sheba.

On Wednesday, Israeli Health Ministry confirmed the 11th A/H1N1case since the outbreak of the influenza.

According to the latest data of the World Health Organization and the governments, at least 47 countries and regions have confirmed more than 12,950 A/H1N1 flu cases. A total of 100 people have died of the flu worldwide.
