Britain's Health Protection Agency confirmed on Monday four new cases of A/H1N1 flu infections, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 137.

The four new confirmed cases in England were one adult and three children from London, the southeast region and west Midlands region.

A statement from the Health Protection Agency said one was a returning traveler whereas three were linked to previously confirmed cases.

Of the total 137 cases, 13 were from Scotland, one from Northern Ireland, and 123 from England.

The agency said it's continuing its regular surveillance work throughout the summer. In England, the surveillance work includes the collection of date from 3,300 general practitioner surgeries across the country and the testing of patient samples from over 100 surgeries.
