Visitors intending to visit the Istana, Singapore's presidential grounds, will be subject to temperature checks before being allowed in on Friday.
According to local radio 938 live, aside from the regular security checks, all visitors had to undergo temperature checks on the May Day, when the Istana is open for the public.
The report said that visitors with temperatures exceeding 38 degrees will be asked to wait outside the gate for 15 minutes, and if they are still running a high temperature, they will not be allowed to enter the presidential grounds.
Singapore on Thursday upgraded the Disease Outbreak Response System Alert status from "Yellow" to "Orange," even though there are no A/H1N1 flu cases detected in the country yet.
