The total number of confirmed swine flu cases in Canada has risen to 32, according to local media reports on Thursday.
Three new cases were confirmed in British Columbia, one in Ontario and one in Quebec Thursday, after Nova Scotia and Alberta each confirmed four new cases of swine flu earlier, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported.
All cases are mild and the Quebec case is the province's first confirmed instance of the swine flu, the report said.
An official at the Public Health Agency of Canada confirmed 31 cases but could not give details right now in a telephone interview with Xinhua.
