Morocco's Health Minister Yasmina Baddou said on Thursday that the North African country was fully mobilized to avert the fatal swine flu.

"We have mobilized all our medics and health services in frontiers (airports, ports and land borders), and vigilance is maintained as long as the World Health Organization (WHO) alert is maintained," the minister was quoted as saying by local MAP news agency.

She told reporters shortly before attending a weekly cabinet meeting that Morocco's vigilance program is in conformity with the recommendations of the WHO and the international standards.

She reaffirmed that no case of swine flu was registered in Morocco.

"Up to now, our country has documented no cases of swine flu," she said, adding that "all concerned ministries are mobilized," especially that of agriculture and fisheries, through conducting checks of pig breeding farms.

A committee of the health ministry also holds daily meetings to follow up the situation around the world, she said.

A lady arriving at the Rabat-Sale airport on Wednesday was signaled by the fever detector, but a check-up showed that she has no symptoms of swine flu, the minister said, noting that her case is followed closely.

On Wednesday, the WHO raised the current level of influenza pandemic alert from Phase 4 to 5, advising all countries to immediately activate their pandemic preparedness plans.
