Thailand on Thursday adjusted its precautionary measures to prevent the swine flu outbreak in the country as all foreign tourists would be required to answer questionnaire upon their arrival in the country.
The Thai Health Ministry's move followed the World Health Organization (WHO) which Wednesday raised the pandemic alert level to Phase 5, indicating that a full pandemic is imminent.
Foreign tourists who are from the affected countries will be required to provide details of their resident places and telephone numbers, while they are staying in Thailand, Witthaya Kaewparadai, Thai Minister of Public Health said.
Moreover, the Public Health Ministry has ordered the Government Pharmaceutical Organization to produce one more million pills of the antiviral Oseltamivir, said Witthaya.
