The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced on Saturday night that Hamas will fight until all Israeli troops leave Gaza.

Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum said in a recorded speech aired on Hamas-run television in Gaza that "We would never accept the presence of any Israeli soldier on the land of Gaza whatever the price is."

The statement came as Israeli cabinet approved to enact a unilateral ceasefire with Hamas in Gaza. But the Israeli Defense Forces will stay there.

Barhoum added that "The Zionist enemy should stop its aggression and completely withdraw from the Gaza Strip with ending the blockade and opening the crossing."

Barhoum said the "unilateral ceasefire is a proof that war on Gaza was unilateral carried out by the enemy on our people."

He claimed that "this war has nothing to do with rocket attacks, " but is used "to serve the Zionist elections."

Israeli army launched a massive military attack on Gaza since December 27, killing more than 1,200 Palestinians with an addition of 5,300 wounded.
