The Chinese delegation attending the G20 summit held a press conference on Thursday.
The delegation called for efforts to coordinate macro economic policies and promote global financial reconstruction, common development and the growth of international trade.
Commenting on the trade imbalance between developed and developing countries, members said the root cause was the imbalance in development.
They said that narrowing the wide gap between the South and North is a gradual process which requires efforts from both sides.
The delegation added that China is the single biggest victim of trade protectionism. The country has suffered US$10 billion in losses due to trade protectionism in the first eight months of the year.
China hopes that wealthy countries will refrain from using protectionist measures again. The delegation also pledged that China will continue contributing to the world economic recovery.
