French President Nicolas Sarkozy says he may quit the G20 summit in the United States next week, if leaders fail to make any progress on limiting bankers' bonuses.
According to the French newspaper Le Figaro, Sarkozy says if there is no concrete decision on bonus limits, he will leave.
The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Dominique Strauss-Kahn has said that payment limits will be one of the focuses of the meeting. But he has pointed out that limits in the banking sector are not the only way to save the economy.
