Labor-intensive Products' Exports Drop

Adjust font size:

China's exports in labor-intensive products dropped less than the overall exports in the first two months of this year, according to the General Administration of Customs.

Apparel exports reached US$14.62 billion in January and February, down 11 percent year-on-year. Exports of footwear products hit US$4.3 billion, down 2.3 percent. Overall exports dropped 21.1 percent over the same period.

Customs contributed this to the government's increases of tax rebates on labor-intensive products.
