Trade Between Vietnam, China Exceed US$17 Bln in 10 Months

Turnover from import and export trading between Vietnam and China reached US$17 billion in the first 10 months of 2008, an increase of 43.4 percent over the same period of 2007, according to the website of Vietnam Trade Information Center under the Ministry of Industry and Trade on Friday.

Vietnam's exports to China collected a 10-month turnover of about US$4 billion and its imports from China saw the turnover of more than US$13 billion, said the center.

Vietnam's major export items to China are rubber, coal, crude oil and main items imported from China include various kinds of steel, clothing, fertilizers and chemical substances, said the center.
