Chinese Shares Close Higher on Friday

Chinese equities ended the week's trading by edging up 0.10 percent on Friday, led by securities shares.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index went up 0.10 percent, or 3.22 points, to close at 3,196.00 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.24 percent, or 31.96 points, to close at 13,266.12 points.

Combined turnover shed to 204.86 billion yuan (US$29.99 billion) from 263.2 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
