To cope with the international financial crisis, timely and accurately reflect the China's producers' price of major agricultural and industrial products, and major changes in food prices, NBS was launched "Price Surveys Emergency Mechanism", mainly investigate food prices on producers' prices of agricultural and industrial products, and food price in medium-large sized cities in nationwide. Of which, the price survey of major agricultural products indicated the trading price of 15 kinds of agricultural products in 200 major producing counties; the producers' prices of 22 kinds of industrial products distributed in 313 industrial enterprises in 20 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities); the major food price survey investigated 29 kinds of food prices which are closely related to residents in medium-large cities.

This price survey was developed as a temporary investigation in accordance with emergency statistical system, according to the situation of price change, the investigation and release works will be make adjustments correspondingly.
