Brazil's Retail Sales See 2nd Consecutive Fall in November

Financial crisis caused a 0.7-percent decline in Brazilian retail sales from October to November, according to a monthly study released on Friday.
The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics said the results marked the second consecutive monthly fall in retail sales.
Retail sales of office supplies and communication devices fell the most with a decrease of 9.8 percent, followed by cars and car parts with 7 percent.
Some sectors registered a slight increase in sales volume in November, such as pharmacy products and cosmetics with 1.6 percent, books, newspapers and magazines, with 1.3 percent, and food, beverages and tobacco, with 0.7 percent.
The revenues generated by retail sales in November also saw a decline of 0.4 percent compared with October.
