7 Injured in Bus Fire in Chongqing

Seven people were injured when a bus caught fire in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on Thursday, local police said.

The bus, with more than 20 passengers onboard, burst into flames at 3:10 PM in the Caiyuanba area of the city proper, a spokesman for the Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau said.

"An initial investigation showed the accident was caused by engine combustion and no more details are immediately available," he said.

The spokesman said of the seven hospitalized, six were slightly injured while the other one's condition was "a little more serious".
