The Fuhe River breached its bank again at 6:30 AM Wednesday in Fuzhou, east China's Jiangxi Province, the provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters said Wednesday.
Residents had been evacuated the previous night, according to the headquarters.
The width of the breach near Changhu Village, Luozhen Township of Fuzhou City, which also belongs to the Changkai section of the river, was still not known, said the municipal flood control officials.
The dike at the Lingshan Hejia part of the river's Changkai section previously burst at 6:30 PM Monday and threatened the safety of about 100,000 residents. All have now been evacuated.
No casualties have been reported so far.
