Cleanup Operation Continues at Oil-polluted Area in Dalian

A State Administration of Work Safety and Ministry of Public Security investigation showed that the oil pipeline explosion occurred in Xingang Harbor of Dalian on July 16 was caused by improper desulfurizer injections into the oil pipeline. At present over 1,000 fishing boats were mobilized to join the oil spill cleanup operation at sea. Meanwhile a great number of fishermen and volunteers came to the shore to clear up crude oil in an attempt to retrieve the beautiful beachscape of former days. [Xinhua]
