A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told Xinhua on Wednesday that it has completed troops pullout from the Gaza Strip.

The last Israeli soldier left the Gaza Strip this morning and Israeli army are redeploying alongside the Gaza Strip of Israeli side, said the spokesman.

Earlier on Tuesday before new US President Barack Obama was inaugurated, Israel had withdrawn most of its forces, which was considered by analysts as an attempt not to cloud the start of a new era in a key alliance, said media reports.
