The delegate for migrant workers, Meng Guangbin, writes down his feelings after reading the Congress's report during a break at noon on Nov 10, 2012. The 48-year-old man has been a cobbler in Harbin, Northeast China's Heilongjiang province since he moved there 1988. He has repaired 120,000 pairs of shoes for the poor free of charge, and donated more than 50,000 yuan ($8,006) over the past 20 years. He said many migrant workers are willing to join the Party but they were not able to because of frequent job and location changes. He hopes the Party can find a way to let migrant workers to more conveniently join the Party. "We have 26 delegates of migrant workers from all over the country this time. I believe there will be more in the future," said Meng. [Xinhua]

The delegate from Zhejiang province and a teacher from Dachen Island, Weng Lifen makes a speech about education equality in Beijing on Nov 10, 2012. She said she was moved by the Congress' report which puts emphasis on education development in rural, remote, poor and ethnic group areas. "The meal subsidy for compulsory education to my school has risen from 350 yuan per student per year to 750 yuan per student per year."
