Since the operation of the ±800 kV ultra-high voltage direct current (UHV DC) power transmission project linking Hami of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region with southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, the Chongqing end has received a cumulative total of over 30 billion kWh of electricity, with a recorded single-day peak power delivery of 145 million kWh.
