The concrete pouring operation for the crossbeam on the east main tower of the Fuchimen road-rail bridge was completed successfully on Sunday, marking a breakthrough in the main tower's primary structure construction and laying a foundation for the subsequent construction of the entire bridge deck system.
The Fuchimen road-rail bridge connects Zhoushan Island and Fuchi Island and is one of the key projects of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway. The bridge measures approximately 1,726 meters in length with a main span of 388 meters, featuring a double-track railway and a six-lane expressway arranged on the same level. (Xinhua/Huang Zongzhi)
