Xinhua, January 08, 2026 Adjust font size:

An aerial drone photo taken on Jan. 7, 2026 shows a freight train loaded with Chongqing-manufactured new energy vehicles departing from Yuzui Station at Guoyuan Port in Chongqing, southwest China. Departing on Wednesday, this freight train is expected to arrive at Nansha Port in south China's Guangzhou City after 48 hours and then be transferred to a vessel bound for the Middle East.

As a major vehicle manufacturing base, Chongqing has stably operated eastbound and southbound rail-sea intermodal freight trains via Ningbo, east China's Zhejiang Province and Qinzhou, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. (Xinhua/Tang Yi)
