Thousands of young aerospace enthusiasts from all corners of China converged in Wenchang, Hainan province, for the 2024 National Youth Space Innovation Competition finals on Friday.
The competition featured 12 events, including the Aerospace Creativity Competition, Space Science Inquiry and Innovation Competition, Planetary Rover Challenge, Mars Home Challenge, and Interstellar Rescue Challenge.
Luk Heicheuk and Vinod Jackson, both 17 and from Hong Kong, secured the first prize for developing a program that tackles radiation challenges for astronauts.
