According to the Development of China's News Media (Released in 2020), as of December 31,2019, China had 232,830 licensed journalists.In terms of age, 14,263 of them were under 30 years old, accounting for 6.13%; 87,135 aged between 30 and 40, accounting for 37.42%; 81,113 aged between 40 and 50, accounting for 34.84%; and 50,319 aged over 50, accounting for 21.61%.
