Wangmo County in Guizhou develops chestnut industry

CHINA-GUIZHOU-WANGMO-POVERTY ALLEVIATION-CHESTNUT INDUSTRY(CN)

Aerial photo taken on Sept. 16, 2020 shows a chestnut plantation in Wangmo County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of southwest China's Guizhou Province. With 262,000 mu (about 17,467 hectares) of chestnut planting area, Wangmo County has developed a full-scale chestnut industry. The industry involves 18,000 local residents, of which 4,500 are from impoverished households. (Xinhua/Tao Liang)
