Sun Yue, a teacher from the High School affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, records an online Chinese language lecture for the new semester at the education institute of Xuhui District in east China's Shanghai, Aug. 31, 2020. Chinese primary and secondary schools started to partially open to certain grades Saturday, as the opening of the new school year for different grades of students will continue until Sept. 7 in a staggered schedule amid intensive COVID-19 prevention and control measures on campus. In order to further integrate online and offline education, Shanghai has begun to organize outstanding teachers from various disciplines to record online lecture videos, in an effort to make a set of high-quality online class resources which will be accessible for teachers and students on cable TV and online platforms in the new semester.
