Reclaimed water widely used to improve ecological environment in Xinjiang

A worker uses reclaimed water to irrigate seedlings at a nursery in Altay, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, April 19, 2020. Reclaimed water is widely used in a nursery built on the gobi desert to improve local ecological environment in Altay. Since 2017, the nursery has approximately provided 400,000 seedlings with afforestation of 5,000 mu (about 333 hectare) on barren mountains. (Xinhua/Ding Lei)
