Wen Rui (R), a staff from the People's Court of Qinyuan County working in Guanjun Village, asks Wang Yingjie about the sales condition of his works of pyrography on calabash in Guanjun Village of Qinyuan County, north China's Shanxi Province, Oct. 8, 2018. Wang Yingjie suffers from life-long severe lower extremity paralysis caused by congenital spina bifida. However, Wang has pyrography skill and is an inheritor of pyrography on calabash, one of the intangible cultural heritages of Changzhi. The local poverty alleviation staff therefore helped him by setting up a calabash pyrography workshop and an online shop, and building a greenhouse to grow calabash as raw material for him. Thanks to assistance, Wang succeeded in getting rid of poverty with his handicrafts in 2017. (Xinhua/Tao Ming)
