Dollar briefly falls to upper 108 yen on weak U.S. jobs data

TOKYO, May 7 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar briefly fell to the upper 108 yen zone Monday in Tokyo amid weak U.S. jobs data.

At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 109.19-20 yen compared with 109.03-13 yen in New York on Friday. It moved between 108.76 yen and 109.33 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1929-1930 dollars and 130.26-30 yen against 1.1957-1967 dollars and 130.43-53 yen in New York late Friday afternoon.

Financial markets in Japan were closed from Thursday due to national holidays. Enditem
