SILICON VALLEY, the United States -- The U.S.-China relationship established four decades ago is the most important bilateral ties in the world today and peoples in both countries are benefiting from the deepening economic integration, former U.S. Ambassador to China Gary Locke has said.

LAGOS -- At least 45 people have been confirmed dead and others wounded during an attack at Gwaska village in Nigeria's central north Kaduna state, eyewitnesses said Sunday.

The victims were killed on Saturday afternoon when scores of suspected bandits raided Gwaska village, in Birnin-Gwari area of Kaduna state, a local vigilante group told Xinhua. (Nigeria-Attack)

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal was shot and injured in an assassination attempt during a rally in Narowal district of the country's eastern Punjab province on Sunday evening, police said.

TEHRAN -- If the United States pulls out of the nuclear deal, it will be a "historical regret," Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said here on Sunday.
