China sees tourism boom during May Day holiday

China saw 147 million domestic tourist trips during the three-day May Day holiday, up 9.3 percent compared with the previous year and generated 87.16 billion yuan (13.70 billion U.S. dollars) in tourism revenue, up 10.2 percent from last year, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
