Business environment improves in Beijing: survey

Xinhua,May 02, 2018 Adjust font size:

BEIJING, May 1 (Xinhua) -- A recent survey shows that the business environment in Beijing has been improving.

The Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Beijing surveyed 132 sci-tech or cultural firms about streamlining administration and optimizing services. Its official website did not specify when the survey was conducted.

Three out of four, or 75.7 percent, of the companies surveyed thought the business environment has improved because fewer items were required for administrative review, and the review procedure has been simplified.

Meanwhile, 81.5 percent of those polled have accessed the online qualification verification system and other public services. At least two out of three, or 67.3 percent, agreed that their users' experiences were good.

The survey also indicated that the improved business environment has shored up confidence. Ninety-nine percent of the companies said in the survey that they would stay in Beijing for one to three years. Nearly 90 percent estimated that they would perform better than they did last year.

Beijing has simplified review and approval of 1,065 items in the past five years. Enditem
