Zalgiris wins ticket to Final Four in Belgrade

KAUNAS, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Zalgiris Kaunas became the first team to clinch a spot at the Final Four of the basketball Euroleague in Belgrade by beating Greece's Olympiakos Piraeus 101-91 here at Zalgirio Arena on Thursday night.
The Lithuanian champs sent off last season's runners-up Olympiacos with a 3-1 win in their best-of-five series and won the club's first trip to the EuroLeague Final Four since the turn of the century.
On May 18, Zalgiris will play the winner of the playoff series between Fenerbahce Dogus Istanbul and KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz in the semifinals at Stark Arena in Belgrade .
On Tuesday, the Lithuanians defeated Olympiakos 80-60 in the third playoff game at the same stadium in Kaunas, after finishing their first two playoff games against Olympiakos in Athens. Enditem
