Dollar changes hands in lower 109 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, April 27 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 109 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Friday, largely in line with its levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 109.29-30 yen compared with 109.24-34 yen in New York and 109.32-34 yen at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.2108-2109 dollars and 132.33-34 yen against 1.2098-2108 dollars and 132.27-37 yen in New York and 1.2164-2166 dollars and 132.98-133.02 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
