CHICAGO -- A tank containing crude oil or asphalt exploded at a refinery in the U.S. state of Wisconsin on Thursday, injuring at least 11 people and forcing an evacuation of the area, according to local media.

Fire officials said the explosion broke out at 10:06 a.m. at the Husky Energy oil refinery in Superior, a city of about 27,000 that borders Minnesota to the north and the tip of Lake Superior. (U.S.-Wisconsin-Explosion-Refinery)

PRAGUE -- One died and 16 others were injured after a chemical leak at the Czech chemical plant on Thursday morning in Decin, a Czech town in the North Bohemia region close to the German border.

Officials confirmed the incident happened at the premises of Chemotex plant. Poisonous phenol leaked when pumped from the truck tanker to the container as the hosepipe had broken. (Czech Republic-Chemical Leak)

PYONGYANG -- Kim Jong Un, the top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), left here early Friday to attend the inter-Korean summit in Panmunjom, the truce village on the North-South border of the peninsula, said the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

JOHANNESBURG -- The South African Police on Thursday said they have arrested more than 400 suspects in the past week related to protests and looting of shops and recovered property.

The police recovered property looted by the suspects. The recovered property includes equipment which was robbed from South African Broadcasting (SABC) television crew valued at 25,000 U.S. dollars. They also recovered groceries, clothes, liquor, cash dispensing machine, casket and vehicles used in the transportation of stolen goods. (South Africa-Crimes) Enditem
