Ryanair to launch direct flights linking BiH city, Brussels

SARAJEVO, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Irish low-cost airline Ryanair said Monday it would operate its first flights from Banja Luka International Airport, some 250 km northwest of Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH) capital, to cities of Brussels and Germany's Memmingen as of November 2018.

The Europe's leading low-cost airline will connect Belgium's Brussels South Charleroi Airport, and Germany's Allgau Airport Memmingen with Banja Luka International Airport twice a week, as part of its Winter 2018 schedule.

Director of Banja Luka International Airport Dusko Kovacevic highlighted the importance of connecting Banja Luka with two European cities.

"It will provide our citizens with the possibility to travel, through Brussels and Memmingen, to over 90 destinations in several European countries," Kovacevic said.

The connections will provide young people with the opportunity to travel more, discover the mountains, rivers and other attractions that Banja Luka and region around it, Kovacevic added. Enditem
