WINDHOEK, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's under-20 football team the "Young Warriors" failed to advance to the second round of the 2019 CAF Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualifiers in the Namibian capital Windhoek on Sunday.

The game between Namibia and Botswana finished 1-1, but Botswana advanced to the second round of the qualifier on the away goals rule after a goalless draw in the first leg.

Namibia went into halftime a man down after Johannes Hollombach was sent off in the 37th minute.

Botswana capitalized and Thabang Khuduga scored their first and only goal of the game in the 50th minute.

Namibia came back to equalize with Betheul Muzeu scoring for the Young Warriors.

Niger is the host of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations tournament in 2019. The four teams that reach the semifinal in Niger will automatically qualify for 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup. Enditem
