Petro de Luanda wins African Handball Tournament

LUANDA, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Petro de Luanda won the 2018 edition of the African Women's Handball Cup Winners' Cup by beating 1º de Agosto 23-19 in the final on Sunday in Cairo, Egypt.
The two Angolan teams have been sharing the supremacy in women's handball tournaments on the continent for many years.
Petro de Luanda won the competition between 2008 and 2014 while 1º de Agosto held the title three times (2015, 2016, 2017).
The new title holder reached the final by defeating Abo Sport in the knockout stage.
In the other semifinal, 1º de Agosto defeated FAP of Cameroon 26-17. Enditem
