ABUJA, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Nigeria's military on Tuesday confirmed its troops nabbed a terror suspect who specialized in the making of improvised explosive devices for terrorist organization Boko Haram.

The suspect, identified as Adamu Hassan, was arrested in the northeastern state of Gombe following a joint operation of troops and the secret police late Monday, Onyema Nwachukwu, a military spokesman, said.

According to Onyema, troops had also intercepted some Boko Haram fighters who raided a community in search of food on the same day.

The bomb maker and others arrested had already made confessions to the security agents, he added.

Boko Haram is a Jihadist militant organization based in northeastern Nigeria. The United Nations believes the terror group has killed more than 20,000 people since 2009. Enditem
