French shares gain 0.84 pct on Tuesday

PARIS, April 10 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.84 percent, or 44.17 points, to close at 5,307.56 points.

23 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.

French luxury group LVMH advanced 4.92 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Technipfmc, global leader in oil and gas projects, technologies, systems and services rose 4.03 percent, and French luxury group Kering gained 3.20 percent.

French retail group Carrefour went down by 0.99 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French food group Danone lost 0.90 percent, while French international infrastructure material producer Saint-Gobain edged down 0.87 percent. Enditem
