CAPE TOWN, April 10 (Xinhua) -- The following are news items in South Africa's major news outlets on Tuesday:

-- Although real estate was the largest asset class for high net-worth individuals (HNWIs) in South Africa at the end of 2017, they have decreased their real estate allocation over the past 10 years.

There was also a movement of funds offshore by local HNWIs over the past 10 years. At the end of 2017, SA's HNWIs held 17 percent of their wealth offshore compared to 13 percent in 2007. (Fin24)

-- Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan said on Monday that if money has been stolen from weaponry manufacturer Denel it must be recovered and those responsible must be held accountable.

The minister was speaking at a briefing in Centurion near Pretoria where he announced a new board of the state-owned company, which has suffered severe liquidity challenges. (Eyewitness News)
