Namibia to face Lesotho in friendly

Xinhua,March 27, 2018 Adjust font size:

WINDHOEK, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's football assistant coach, Ronnie Kanalelo on Monday said his team will leave no stone unturned in their quest for victory against Lesotho on Tuesday evening in Windhoek, despite selecting a fairly young squad for the encounter.

Kanalelo, who oversaw the training session on Monday in a statement said, "We have a standard to maintain. We are playing at home and normally we play to win either home or away and more especially at home and we are still focused on that and on Tuesday night we have to make sure that happens."

According to him the training session conducted on Monday was more about rehabilitation as the players just came back from a weekend of intensive Debmarine Namibia Cup last 32 Round action - a tournament for Namibian teams sponsored by mining giants Debmarine.

"The players were involved in highly competitive football over the weekend and so this morning we took it easy and in the afternoon we had the tactical session, more intense as we wound up preparations for Tuesday," he added.

Meanwhile, the international friendly will kick-off at the 20h00 Namibian time and it will be played at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in the capital, Windhoek. Enditem
